Is ducted right for your place?
Ducted suits you if:
You want the whole house done, not one or two rooms
You'd rather not look at wall units in your living areas
You've got roof space or a bulkhead to run ductwork through
You want zoning, so you're not paying to cool empty bedrooms during the day
You're building or renovating, which is the cheapest time to do it
Ducted isn't always the right answer. If it's one bedroom or a granny flat, a split system will do the same job for a lot less money, and we'll tell you that rather than sell you something you don't need.
Why the design matters more than the brand
Most of the ducted systems we get called out to fix aren't broken. They were undersized, badly zoned, or the ductwork was run in a way that starved the rooms furthest from the unit. No brand survives a bad design.
So before we quote, we work out what your home actually needs:
Heat load for each room — glazing, orientation, insulation, ceiling height, how the western sun hits it in February
Airflow and duct sizing so every room gets what it's supposed to, not just the ones near the unit
Zoning grouped the way you actually live — living areas, bedrooms, the rooms nobody uses on a weekday
Grille selection and placement, including linear grilles where you want it to disappear into the ceiling
Indoor unit location and access for future servicing, so a filter clean isn't a half-day job
You get that design as part of your quote, so you can see what you're paying for and compare it properly against anyone else's.

We supply and install ducted systems from Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Daikin, Panasonic, Gree and Braemar and can source most other major brands on request.
We'll recommend based on your home, your budget and what we know holds up in coastal salt air — not on whatever's in the van.

How many zones you want
Roof access and how easy the ductwork is to run
Single or double storey
Grille type — standard or linear
Electrical work required, including whether your switchboard can carry it
Whether it's a new build, a renovation, or a replacement of an existing system
We quote on site, in writing, with the system and the inclusions spelled out. No obligation, and no charge for the quote. If a cheaper approach gets you the same result, we'll say so.
