Air con repair in pottsville

What we fix

  • Not cooling or not heating — low refrigerant, failed compressor, blocked coils, faulty sensors

  • Water leaking inside — blocked or fallen drains, iced-up coils

  • Icing up — airflow restriction, low charge, dirty filters

  • Error codes — we read them properly instead of guessing

  • Noisy, rattling or vibrating — fan bearings, loose mounts, debris

  • Won't turn on — power supply, PCBs, controllers, isolators

  • Musty smells — mould and bacteria in the indoor unit

  • Zone motors and controllers on ducted systems

  • Refrigerant leaks — found, repaired and recharged properly, not just topped up

  • Commercial refrigeration — coolrooms, display fridges, packaged units

  • Remotes, controllers and spare parts — supplied for most brands

  • Warranty claims — we handle the paperwork on brands we supply

Annual servicing — the cheapest money you'll spend

air con clean tweed coast

Most of the breakdowns we attend were preventable. A system that's never serviced runs with choked filters and dirty coils, works harder for less output, costs more to run, and wears out years earlier than it should.

An annual service covers:

  • Filter clean or replacement

  • Indoor and outdoor coil clean

  • Drain clean and flush, so it doesn't leak through your ceiling in February

  • Refrigerant pressures and temperatures checked

  • Electrical connections checked and tightened

  • Fan and motor check

  • Controller and zone operation tested

  • A written report on anything that needs attention

Best time to book is spring, before the first hot week. That's when everyone rings at once and the wait gets long.

Honest advice before we start

For repairs we charge a callout fee that covers attending and diagnosing the fault. The office will confirm it when you book, so there are no surprises.

Once we know what's wrong, we'll tell you what it'll cost to fix and whether it's worth fixing at all. If the repair is going to cost more than the system is worth, we'll say so — on an older unit it's often cheaper to replace than to keep chasing faults, and we'd rather tell you that than bill you twice.

Servicing is quoted per system. Give us a call and we'll give you a price.

How to book..

Ring the office on 0481 259 504, or send an enquiry and tell us:

  • What the system is doing (or not doing)

  • Make and model if you can see it, and roughly how old it is

  • Whether it's a split, multi-head, ducted or commercial system

  • Your suburb

The more you can tell us, the better chance we have of turning up with the right part on board.

Need it looked at?

Tell us what it's doing and we'll get a technician to you.

We're on the coast and we get wet summers, which is hard on air conditioners in two ways.

Salt air corrodes outdoor units and fixings faster than it does inland. And after a run of humid, rainy weeks, a dirty indoor unit becomes a very good place for mould to grow — which is then blown through your house every time it runs. If your air conditioner smells musty when it starts up, that's what you're smelling. Why rainy weeks in the Tweed can make mould explode in your home.

A proper coil and drain clean fixes it. Air freshener doesn't.
